The Ultimate Test
Level 10 is the culmination of everything Opposite Day 2 has to offer. Unlike Level 9's breadth-focused approach, Level 10 goes for depth and intensity. The mechanics are familiar, but turned up to eleven. Every gap is wider, every platform smaller, every timer shorter, every gravity flip more disorienting.
But you're ready. You've trained for this through nine levels of progressively challenging content. Your muscle memory is solid. Your understanding of reversed controls is second nature. Level 10 is your victory lap—if you can survive it.
Level 10 Structure
The final level is divided into three major sections:
- The Gauntlet: A brutal precision platforming sequence
- The Vortex: Rapid gravity flips in a spinning vertical chamber
- The Boss Room: Final challenge combining all mechanics at maximum speed
Completing Level 10 unlocks the standard ending. For the true ending, you need 100% cube collection, which opens an alternate path after the Boss Room.
Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Section 1: The Gauntlet
Level 10 opens with no warm-up—just immediate precision platforming harder than anything in Level 4. The platforms are barely visible against the dark background, adding visual challenge to the mechanical one. Trust your instincts and jump patterns learned earlier.
Key insight: The Gauntlet's platforms follow a repeating pattern. Once you recognize it (4 small, 2 medium, gap, 3 small), you can predict your next move before landing.
Section 2: The Vortex
After The Gauntlet, you enter The Vortex—a cylindrical chamber where gravity flips continuously as you ascend. The walls become floors, then ceilings, then floors again. It's deliberately disorienting.
Strategy: Focus on the exit point, visible at the top of the chamber. Whatever surface you're on, navigate toward that exit. The specific gravity state matters less than your destination.
There are three Blue Cubes scattered through The Vortex, each requiring you to divert from the main path during specific gravity states. For first completion, skip them and return later.
Section 3: The Boss Room
The Boss Room is a single massive chamber that combines everything: moving platforms, countdown timers, gravity zones, speed boosts, and precision jumps. The room auto-scrolls, pushing you forward while throwing every mechanic at you simultaneously.
There's no easy route through the Boss Room. Every path is challenging. However, the left side tends to have fewer gravity zones, making it slightly more predictable for first-time completions.
The Standard Ending
Survive the Boss Room and reach the exit door to complete Opposite Day 2. The standard ending shows your character finally reaching "Normal Day"—a world where controls work as expected. It's a satisfying conclusion to your journey.
The True Ending (100% Completion)
If you've collected all 23 Blue Cubes and all 10 Red Cubes, the exit door shows a different message. Behind it lies an alternate path leading to the True Ending—a secret area that reveals the story behind why everything is "opposite."
The True Ending path is relatively easy mechanically but requires full collectible completion to access.
Collectibles in Level 10
- Blue Cube #1: Early in The Gauntlet (jump sequence shortcut area)
- Blue Cube #2: The Vortex lower section (gravity state 2)
- Blue Cube #3: The Vortex upper section (gravity state 5)
- Red Cube: Boss Room corner, requires dodging through the entire left route
Speedrun Notes
Level 10 has the most significant speedrun skip in the game: the Final Skip. This technique combines a frame-perfect wall jump at spawn with precise gravity trigger manipulation to skip The Gauntlet entirely and land directly in The Vortex's upper section.
Time saved: ~40 seconds
Difficulty: Expert (frame-perfect execution required)
Recommended: Only after mastering all other speedrun techniques
Pro Tips for Level 10
- Pattern Recognition: The Gauntlet repeats. Learn the pattern and it becomes manageable.
- Focus on Exit: In The Vortex, always keep the exit in view. Gravity orientation is secondary.
- Left Side First: In the Boss Room, the left path has fewer surprises.
- Skip Cubes Initially: Complete the level first, then return for collectibles.
- Celebrate: When you beat Level 10, you've truly mastered Opposite Day 2. Well done!
Congratulations
If you've made it through Level 10, whether through persistence, skill, or both, you've accomplished something special. Opposite Day 2 is designed to challenge your fundamental assumptions about game controls, and you've overcome every obstacle.
Consider trying a speedrun, collecting 100% for the True Ending, or helping other players by sharing your strategies. The Opposite Day community welcomes all who've conquered the final challenge.
